What if you could hold photos in your hands of your parents or grandparents doing something they loved while they were engaged - not just in formal attire from their wedding day? This is our main motivating factor for engagement sessions!
We hold these sessions dear because they inevitably allow us to create more genuine images on your wedding day. Taking bride and groom portraits will be a breeze!
WHY WE LOVE THEM
engagement sessions tips
1. Engagements sessions are a great situation to illustrate your unique story as a couple. When choosing a location, I normally ask our couples if there is a place most meaningful to their relationship or their story.
2. For outfits, we recommend bringing one formal outfit, and one casual outfit. If we are going to a specific location, you may consider attire that is fitting for that setting. For instance, if we are heading to a memorial in D.C., formal wear would look beautiful against that backdrop! If you prefer somewhere in the mountains, or at a vineyard, you might choose something more casual.
3. We schedule our engagement sessions according to when we will have the best sunlight, two hours after the sun rises or two hours before it sets.
4. We encourage our couples to get creative, and would love to collaborate with you to make your session unique. If you have props that would express your story, feel free to bring them!
